Preis der Nationalgalerie für junge Kunst 2013

The exhibition at Hamburger Bahnhof showed current works by the artists nominated for the Preis der Nationalgalerie für junge Kunst in 2013, Kerstin Brätsch, Mariana Castillo Deball, Simon Denny and Haris Epaminonda. The positions could hardly differ more from one another. The four very distinct spaces showed not only four radically different approaches, but also a wide spectrum of materials and media: painting, woodcut, digital printing, glass and metal objects, photography, slide projection, and film. The exhibition was designed as to move from the bright beginning until ending in a dark screening room, moving from public space to the semi-darkness of the imagination.
